About Aronia Landscape Design & Construction
Aronia Landscape Design & Construction is a South Jersey–based landscape design-build firm serving South Jersey, the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area, and Central New Jersey. We work across rural, suburban, and urban environments, creating landscapes that thoughtfully connect people, nature, and the built environment.
Our work is grounded in the belief that landscapes are not static features, but living systems—spaces that should evolve, adapt, and perform over time. In an era defined by environmental change and uncertainty, we design landscapes that are resilient, sustainable, and deeply connected to place, while remaining refined, functional, and enduring.
Our Philosophy
At Aronia, we view landscape as the intersection of ecology, craftsmanship, human experience, and long-term performance.
Every site whether a private residence, commercial property, or land shaped by past use and renewed through ecological restoration has its own story, constraints, and opportunities. Our work begins with careful observation and a deep understanding of how land, people, and the built environment interact.
We design landscapes that enhance ecosystem services, support biodiversity, responsibly manage water and storm events, and respond to the realities of climate change while fulfilling the functional and aesthetic goals of property owners.
Our approach aligns with frameworks such as the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES) a globally recognized rating system for sustainable and resilient landscapes ensuring our work delivers measurable environmental, social, and economic value for homeowners, developers, and municipalities alike.
These early exposures fostered a deeper understanding of how landscapes function over time—how they shift with the seasons, respond to environmental forces, and evolve as living systems. This perspective continues to influence Anthony’s design approach today, grounding each project in ecological awareness and long-term performance.
Driven by this connection to the natural world, Anthony earned a Bachelor of Science in Plant Science from the University of Delaware, where his studies emphasized plant ecology, soil science, and the relationships between vegetation, climate, and site conditions. It was during this time that he became especially drawn to sustainable landscape practices—recognizing how thoughtful design and management can help landscapes adapt to a changing climate while remaining functional, enduring, and visually compelling.
Following graduation, Anthony pursued hands-on experience in the field, beginning as a laborer and advancing to a supervisory role within a few short years. During this time, he developed a strong focus on client relations, clear communication, native and climate-adapted plant palettes, and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that design intent and execution remained aligned throughout each project.
Committed to continual growth, Anthony continues to expand his education through Rutgers University–New Brunswick, where he recently earned his Landscape Management Certificate, along with completing additional coursework year-round to stay current with evolving best practices, construction methods, and sustainable design strategies.
Anthony’s vision for Aronia is to create landscapes that are thoughtfully crafted, enduring, and deeply connected to the people and places they serve—spaces designed not only for today, but for the changing world ahead, with sustainability embedded in every decision.

Our work blends ecologically informed design, refined construction techniques, and careful detailing. From naturalistic planting compositions to complex hardscape and site infrastructure, each element is selected and executed for durability, performance, and long-term value. We prioritize native and climate-adapted plantings, responsible material sourcing, and construction practices that respect existing site systems while supporting future resilience.
